The best time to visit Sikkim is from March to May (spring, rhododendrons in bloom) and October to December (clear skies, snowfall in North Sikkim). July to September is the monsoon season and generally not recommended due to landslides and road closures.

You will need a valid government photo ID – Voter ID, Driving License, or Passport. If you don’t have any of these, you can bring your father’s ID along with your own. Foreign nationals need a Protected Area Permit (PAP) for certain areas.

Nathula Pass (Indo-China Border, 14,140 ft) is open Tuesday to Sunday (closed on Mondays). It also remains closed during bad weather, Chinese national holidays, and sensitive military events. Permits must be arranged one day in advance. If not accessible, a partial refund applies.

NJP (New Jalpaiguri) Railway Station is the nearest railhead to Gangtok. Bagdogra Airport is the nearest airport. From both points, we arrange shared or private cab transfers to Gangtok (4-5 hrs).
